Ricki Lake sued over Malibu house fire

Ricki Lake has been sued by the owner of a Malibu beach house for accidentally burning down the property. 
According to legal papers filed this week, the talk show host spilled oil onto a portable space heater while renting the home last September, sparking a fire that burnt it to the ground. 
The house's owner, Hovsep Kousouyan, claimed in the lawsuit that Lake admitted to emergency personnel at the time that she had caused the fire by attempting to refill the heating device. 
TMZ reports that Kousouyan now wants Lake to pay for all the damages caused to the home, which is expected to total millions of dollars.
A representative for Lake has yet to respond to the legal action.
